My name is Sebastian Jules. I have worked as a yacht-based personal chef, catering to some very discerning palates. I specialize in showing my clients what it means to live a life of creative and culinary luxury. 

What can you expect? 
Over the course of one week, I will prepare 15 meals for you that build on your favorite dishes and reveal new tastes and temptations from cultures around the world. I’ll show you where to shop for the finest ingredients and how to prepare new dishes each day, through hands-on demonstrations in your own kitchen. You will be guided every step of the way and enjoy customized international cuisines which are both classic and modern. (Group and dinner party bookings included).

ABOUT ME

I am a visual designer and artist who brings a creative eye and passionate art to everything I do. I design gourmet food, innovative menus, and fine art photos. Recently, I have been working in Italy shooting my newest menu, and in France with a film production company that will stage my operas. I am a singer and dancer, and a writer. I have focused my studies on areas that marry aesthetic and the sublime, elevating my capacity in visual, aural, culinary and physical art forms to new levels. These include in depth study in acrobatics and trapeze, dance and movement, voice and yoga, cooking and design. I have worked, studied, and lived across three continents and fluent in English, while conversant in French and Spanish.

At home on stage, behind the scenes, and in the studio - I thrive anywhere that creative people bring art to life. I have danced with the Romanian National Opera and the Modern Ballet Argentino, and taught yoga movement. My work has included serving as a choreographer, performer, singer and songwriter. Away from the limelight, I have served as a set designer and voice artist. I work with artistic sense and can actualize artistic goals in myself and in others. I have an ability to get the job done successfully, showing confidence and enthusiasm when working with people who enjoy their life and field of work in the entertainment industry.

My current project takes me in a new direction, while drawing on my comfort and capacity as a writer, speaker, and performer. I am studying to be a diplomat, extending knowledge and skills to encompass a new field and venue.

A good meal is like a good symphony. It is at once layered and complex, yet simple and evocative of something more than itself - a person, place, a culture. It draws you first in one direction, then another, each dish contributing to a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. A good meal is not just eaten, it is experienced.

My name is Sebastian Jules. I am trained in music and dance and I bring that background, creativity, and artistry to the kitchen. I specialize in eclectic cuisine drawing on travel to 20 countries and a deep knowledge of ingredients, spices, and techniques from around the world.

I strive to make each meal unique, creating menus that marry the familiar with the novel, and never repeating the same menu twice; unless of course you request a favorite. If food beyond the ordinary is something new to you, perhaps you would like to begin with Spider Crab with a saffron dressing, chicory stuffed with blue cheese, or rice salad with fresh tuna fish. I can bring the heat with a nod to Asian, Mexican, and BBQ. Or, you might prefer Continental, Mediterranean or Italian on a particular night. Regardless of the cuisine, my ingredient choices are fresh and my preparation is to exacting standards.

I've worked as a freelance chef in hotels and event spaces, as well as abroad multiple yachts serving the needs of an upscale, discerning clientele. A recent client noted "his service, cuisine, and display skills were impeccable...the quality and taste of the food was exquisite."

I can work independently as a personal chef presenting meals to be remembered, or as part of a larger team, executing events flawlessly. I have managerial experience and can organize, motivate, and mentor junior staff to demonstrate excellence. My attention to safety is always paramount and I possess a Food Safety & Hygiene certificate so that you may rest assured of my meeting the highest professional standards.
